As one of only a few ABPTS board certified EMG specialists in the state of Utah, Dr. Kevan Whipple has provided many thousands of EMG and NCV studies for healthcare providers throughout the state and throughout the country. He prioritizes using state-of-the-art equipment and techniques to ensure patient comfort during testing. This is a key difference that patients often appreciate and comment on. He also emphasizes quick scheduling and rapid reporting to deliver timely diagnostic insights for referring healthcare professionals and their patients.
Dr. Whipple graduated from Slippery Rock University in Pennsylvania in 2000, as one of the first graduating classes in the United States to offer a Doctor of Physical Therapy program. While there, he completed a residency in electrophysiology and neuropathology, including NCV and EMG studies. That foundation led to many years of additional experience and training in EMG and nerve conduction testing.
In addition to an extensive career of patient care, teaching, lecturing, training, publishing and representing on various committees, he served for several years as the Assistant Program Director of the Annual ENMG Symposium at Rocky Mountain University. He has served as an EMG expert witness in malpractice law.
He has been adjunct faculty at the University of Utah since 2003. He was also an annual guest lecturer in the intermediate-level electroneuromyography training program at Rocky Mountain University of Health Professions for many years.
Dr. Whipple actively performs EMG/Nerve Conduction Studies for healthcare providers throughout the state of Utah, including at the convenient American Fork and Payson locations for Rock Creek Neurosurgery.
